ABOUT US
Having travelled widely as solo adventurers and as a couple, we once assumed that when kids arrived our backpacks would be tucked away in the loft for decades — waiting until retirement to gather dust.
But that idea felt depressing, like an enslavement to the system. So in 2025 we made a different choice: to go backpacking with our children and embrace worldschooling as a family. Our aim is simple — to inspire others to see that family travel, budget travel with kids, and long‑term sabbaticals are not only possible, but deeply rewarding.
Our philosophy has always been that life is for living, not for getting trapped on the hamster wheel. Sabbaticals have refreshed our souls, reset our minds, and re‑energised us with purpose.
Life is for adventure, fun, and connection — not just bills, commuting, and work work work. We believe it’s vital to reconnect with who we are meant to be.
This website brings together our past journeys — solo and as a couple — and now our adventures as a family, sharing experiences as we roadschool and worldschool our kids while travelling on a budget.
Come join us on our travels. We hope to inspire many more to take the leap into a life on the road, away from the rat race.
